For the second year, I am super happy to announce that I will be mentoring another great mobility startup in the EIT Supernovas program. This time, I support their CEO, Lal Polater of Hergele Mobility! Hergele in Turkish apparently means "Little Bad Kid" which sets the tone of this new kid on the block. This felt like a perfect match, considering their product is an electric cargo kick-scooter. If that doesn't ring a bell, this is pretty much the same product category as the first startup I cofounded, Nimble Scooters, back in 2011.

I mentored Lal for the duration of the internationalisation program, guiding her in different sales strategies, sales tools and outreach approaches. We worked together on online presence, personal branding. Some of the challenges were about figuring out which market and industry to focus on, organise sales and marketing tactics, optimizing personal branding for outreach.

At CES 2025, Lal was able to pitch her critical ask at the Superconnectors Network event which I encouraged her to sign up for, enabling her to make invaluable connections to the materials handling industry and retails she is seeking.

At the end of the program, Lal asked me to stay on board as an official advisor - about which I'm very proud to continue doing.
